The Petersons

Justin was born in Vienna, Austria living there until age six. He still remembers traveling with his dad to Eastern Europe and watching him minister to wrestlers, coaches, and pastors. They had to be extremely careful because the communist system did not allow evangelism. When the “Iron Curtain” fell in 1989, opportunities to share the Gospel in Eastern Europe and Asia soared. After moving to Wisconsin in the 90’s, Justin became highly involved in multiple sports and extra-curricular activities. As a walk-on with the Wisconsin Badgers, Justin was very involved with Athletes in Action, a college ministry similar to FCA. Through AIA ministry, he was able to travel to many former Soviet countries that are full of die-hard wrestlers and coaches ready to hear the Gospel.

Justin met Megan in 2015 and they were married in March of 2017. They have settled their roots in northwest Wisconsin and have built many relationships within the wrestling community and their local church. Raising three young children has become their favorite ministry! Miriam, Harvey, and Nadia love reading, playing, learning, exploring, and cuddling. Justin has been serving as Men’s Ministry Leader and Children’s Ministry Director at church. Megan has been fortunate to stay home full-time with the kids. She loves learning about home-school curriculum, gardening, homesteading, nutrition, and anything homemade! She has been a major blessing to Justin as he ministers with FCA serving coaches and athletes in Northwest Wisconsin and beyond!
